Founded in 1998, Global Substation Services has a team of professionals with over seventy-five years of combined experience. For the past fifteen years, Global Substation Services has provided maintenance programs, design, field engineering, and electrical construction services.
In 2001, Global Substation Services merged with H&H Testing Services, a 28-year-old company whose mission was to provide quality Electrical Testing and Preventative Maintenance Services to Industry, Institutions, Government and Commercial Buildings.
The uniting of H&H Testing Services, and Global Substation Services has brought a wide variety of benefits and a new level of service to our customers. The long-term training and experience of our technicians is our Company’s greatest asset. Together they allow us to provide our Customers with the expert assistance needed to maintain their vital Electrical Distribution Systems.

President/Owner.
Ed has comprehensive experience with all aspects of both utility and non-utility underground and overhead electric distribution systems.
Prior to joining Global Substation Services, Ed worked for Constellation Energy Source and BGE for thirty-three years in the areas directly related to the design, construction, maintenance and operation of the distribution system.
Vice President.
Dave comes with over thirty years of experience in the electrical industry. A veteran of BGE, Dave brings his knowledge and skills to our field services section.
Dave has over fifteen years of supervisory experience and carries certifications in cable splicing and terminations, distribution construction, maintenance technology and training.
Director of Field Services Operations
Eric has been employed with Global Substation Services since the company’s inception in 1998.
Eric brings to Global Substation Services over eight-teen years of electrical experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, calibrations, repair and testing of electrical systems.
Senior Field Services Technician
Joseph has over eight years of electrical experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, and infrared testing.
Joseph provides technical and hands-on support while in the field. He is also AVO Certified, certificate #985, in Substation Maintenance, and is a Certified Infrared Thermographer, Level II certificate #91202.

OUR EMPLOYEES
Our technicians participate in the AVO certification programs where they receive state-of-the-art training based on the principles of electrical testing and maintenance. AVO provides non-commercial principles training and addresses unique characteristics of all the major manufacturers of equipment. This allows our technicians to become well-versed on every brand of electrical distribution product in the marketplace.
Global Substation Services is proud to have certified technicians with the National Institute for Certification in Engineered Technologies (NICET). The NICET certification program is intended for technicians who are engaged in inspection, testing, and periodic maintenance of electrical power equipment, and evaluation of such equipment for acceptance for service, continued serviceability, or required maintenance. Our technicians who advance in this field have the skills and temperament to work with high-value equipment and develop knowledge of complex power equipment, testing equipment, test procedures, and the ramifications of various actions or problems.
We also partner with a Registered Professional Engineer and have a full-time Associate Electrical Engineer on staff. Together our engineers provide our customers with comprehensive power system studies and design/build resources.
