Owner & President

Sarah Halford is the Owner and President of Global Substation Services. She became a partner in 2018 and led the company to full women-owned status in 2024. With a commitment to excellence, safety, and innovation, Sarah plays a key role in guiding the company’s strategic direction and upholding its reputation for quality service in the electrical industry.

Under her leadership, Global Substation Services continues to grow, delivering trusted maintenance programs, substation design solutions, and electrical construction services. Sarah is dedicated to fostering a team culture grounded in expertise, accountability, and customer satisfaction.

Theresa Cramer

Administrative Specialist

Theresa Cramer has been with Global Substation Services for 7 years, providing reliable and efficient administrative support across all areas of the company. As Administrative Specialist, she plays a vital role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, from coordinating project logistics and managing documentation to supporting field teams and customer communications.

With her strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence, Theresa helps maintain the high standards of service that Global Substation Services is known for. Her dedication and behind-the-scenes contributions make her an essential part of the team’s ongoing success.

Joseph Dieter

Senior Field Service Technician

With over 20 years of dedicated service at Global Substation Services, Joseph Dieter brings deep industry knowledge and technical expertise to our team. He is an Advanced Certified Thermographer (#91202) and a Certified Substation Maintenance Technician, recognized for his precision and commitment to excellence in the field.

Joe’s extensive training includes medium voltage (MV) cable preparation, MV accessory installation, cable splicing and terminations, as well as safety procedures for confined space entry and First Aid/CPR. In addition to his technical expertise, Joe oversees the safe work practices and standards on all projects, ensuring that safety protocols are strictly followed and that the team operates in compliance with industry regulations.

His hands-on experience and thorough understanding of substation systems make him an essential asset to every project he supports. Joe’s professionalism, reliability, and unwavering commitment to safety help uphold the high standards that Global Substation Services is known for

Shawn Glenn

Senior Field Service Technician

Shawn Glenn has been a key member of Global Substation Services for over 9 years, contributing strong technical skills and a commitment to high-quality field service. He is a Certified Thermographer (#120908) and brings hands-on expertise to a wide range of substation maintenance and installation projects.

Shawn’s training includes medium voltage (MV) cable preparation, MV accessory installation practices, cable splicing and terminations, and confined space safety procedures. His attention to detail and practical knowledge makes him a trusted resource on the job site.

Through his professionalism and dedication, Shawn consistently helps deliver the reliable service and safety-focused solutions that define Global Substation Services.

Michael Ritchey

Field Services Technician

Michael Ritchey has been with Global Substation Services for 7 years, providing reliable field support and technical expertise across a wide range of projects. He is a NICET Level I Certified Technician and a Certified Infrared Thermographer (#18031), with a strong focus on safety and precision in every task he undertakes.

Michael’s training includes medium voltage (MV) cable preparation, cable splicing and terminations, confined space entry, electrical safety for utility environments, and First Aid/CPR. His well-rounded skill set and dedication to quality workmanship make him a valuable member of the Global Substation Services team.

Robert Geller

Field Services Technician

Robert Geller has been with Global Substation Services for 2 years and is quickly establishing himself as a dedicated and hard-working member of the team. Known for his strong work ethic and eagerness to learn, Rob demonstrates great potential in the field and consistently contributes to the success of each project.

His training includes medium voltage (MV) cable preparation, cable splicing and terminations, confined space entry, electrical safety for utility environments and First Aid/CPR. He is a Certified Thermographer (#241109) and his commitment to safety, reliability, and continuous improvement makes him a valuable part of the Global Substation Services workforce.

David Dieter

Advisor (Retired Senior Technician)

David Dieter has been part of the Global Substation Services team for over 17 years. Though now retired, Dave continues to support the company by assisting with projects as needed, bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge to the team.

Before joining Global Substation Services, Dave spent 30 years with Baltimore Gas and Electric, where he worked in the electric distribution construction and maintenance departments. His extensive background in utility operations and field safety has made him a trusted mentor and resource.

Dave’s training includes OSHA compliance, First Aid/CPR, erosion and sediment control, confined space entry, fall protection, equipment safety, asbestos awareness, heat stress, cable splicing and terminations, and respirator protection. His long-standing commitment to safety and quality continues to benefit the team and support the high standards of service our clients expect.
